The mainstream of art in the 21st century, Mix-ism
In modern days, race, thought, culture, everything is mixed in the society.
In the past, these elements such as race, ethnic group, language, religion, thought, and culture belonged to specific geographical area.
Developments in the modern transport facilities have greatly reduced the time and distance, followed by the internet that has completely transcended the space.
Consequently, everything is mixed in the society. At times they vigorously clash with each other, while on many occasions they remain mixed and maintain equilibrium.
The 21st century is the time of mixing. Through the mixing, it will be the time to go in one direction.
Mix-ism represents mix of all expression modes. In general, it is normal that an art work has been completed in one expression style.
In Mix-ism art, multiple expression styles are mixed for a work; realism and abstract, 3D spatial and 2D planar presentation, encoding, inversion between negative and positive.
Works of Aki Youshow Watanabe, with some transitions and series, demonstrates “think-outside-the-box” expressions and mixed layout, which are his work’s core element. Works are not only presented in flat format but also in flat and tridimensional or tridimensional and video formats.
Mix-ism is the formation of new “ism” in the 21st century.
